Throughout his life, the musician filled notebooks and diaries with sketches, poems, and paintings from his countless travels, embodying his tireless optimism: he believed we could be better, and he used his creations to inspire people to believe the same.
- Featuring a design inspired by the "highway ribbon", "endless skyway" and "golden valley" from the song This Land Is Your Land. The matte black ferrule and earth-colored eraser are a nod to the many miles Woody covered on his travels.

Blackwing pencils were originally introduced by the Eberhard Faber Pencil Company in the 1930s. His cult following included John Steinbeck, Vladimir Nabokov, Truman Capote, Chuck Jones who proudly used the Blackwing 602 to create Bugs Bunny and many other characters from Looney tunes. He declared that a pen is full of ink, but the Blackwing is full of ideas. In 2010, Palomino launched the reissue of the legendary pencils that disappeared in 1990.
