Being a limited edition that pays tribute to Ravi Shankar on his 100th birthday. Featuring extra firm graphite and a yellow matte finish with a pattern inspired by one of Ravi's iconic sitars. The pattern prominently features the ॐ (Om), a sacred Sanskrit symbol with three phonetic components that correlate to the waking, sleeping and unconscious states of the being.

In June 1966, George Harrison met director Ravi Shankar in Bath, England. Harrison asked Ravi to teach him how to play the sitar, a task to which Ravi agreed only after considerable hesitation. Their collaboration resulted in an explosion in the popularity of Indian classical music and culture in the United States and around the world.

Blackwing pencils were originally introduced by Eberhard Faber Pencil Company in the 1930s. Their cult following included John Steinbeck, Vladimir Nabokov, Truman Capote, Chuck Jones who proudly used the Blackwing 602 to create Bugs Bunny and many other Looney characters. Tunes. I declare that a pen is full of ink, but the Blackwing is full of ideas. In 2010 Palomino launched the reissue of the legendary pencils that disappeared in 1990.
